Having graduated from WCCMT Victoria in 2020, I have been an RMT in the Saanich Peninsula community ever since, culminating in My 2025 move to a more peaceful home clinic space in Brentwood Bay.
I am constantly fascinated by the interconnected nature of everything in the body. My evidence based practice is based on the foundation that creating ease, decreasing and managing pain, and rebuilding strength can help patients improve their quality of life and continue, or return to, the activities they enjoy. My solid understanding of biomechanics has been informed by my time as a competitive and recreational athlete, a yoga teacher and a career gardener. These experiences give me a somewhat unique insight into how your movement patterns are influencing your tension patterns. Healing is a multi-faceted collaborative approach with my patient and as such, there is never a one-size-fits-all treatment. My treatment approach will blend traditional massage techniques with joint mobilizations, active release, myofascial manipulations, craniosacral techniques and deep tissue massage, however much each of these may be needed. I always strive to find what each individual patient requires to feel at their best, whether we are working through a lens of relaxation or recovery from injury. This includes homecare recommendations and and guidance around healthy active lifestyles and workouts when warranted.
Craniosacral training through both the Upledger Institute and Linden Utting have influenced my treatment style. I completed my first level of training from Eryn Price with the Mastectomy Guide, with plans to learn with Heather Gittens at the Bodhi Tree for Biodynamic Myofascial work in the cervical and thoracic regions. I firmly believe that constantly learning to improve my skills and expand my offerings makes me a better practitioner for my clients.
My patients range from 8-85 years of age, with a variety of needs, from anxiety and depression, to joint replacement recovery, to stress reduction, to Headache and concussion symptom management…. My patients are athletes, gardeners, labourers, nurses, dental hygienists, retirees, musicians, chefs and more.
Massage is my profession, yes, but it is also an honour and a calling to collaborate with my patients in their continued pursuits for healing and wellness. I work hard to create an inclusive, accessible, relaxing environment.
My passion for the power of massage in healing is immense, and driven by the personal experience of massage having been instrumental in helping regain mobility after injury, and surgery.
A lover of knowledge and learning and all things active and/or outdoors, I spend much of my spare time outside or with my nose in a book. Sometimes both.
My family and I are proud and grateful to live, work and play on the traditional unceded territories of the WSANEC peoples.
